A video-sound work by composer Talya Eliav and art-director Liron Brecht.
The work was inspired by processes that take place in water. The quality of water as a 'medium', an essence that curves around disturbances or inhibitions, sensitive to every movement or frequency. Water reacts to the substances administered in them, it remembers them. The movement of water is always in vortices, slow and spiral blending processes. The musical work acts as an imitation of water movement and translates physical, visual and philosophical ideas into sounds. By non-traditional techniques the whole ensemble produces a vortex, instinctive, raw, primary movement, a movement of disintegration and creation.
The work was created in 2020 as part of the Modalius Ensemble Whole World project under the artistic direction of Eitan Steinberg and Etty Ben-Zaken.
