Almost a decade after her last release, on which she performed Barbara’s songs, composer and performer Talya Eliav returns with her fifth album, featuring entirely original songs.
Shuv Kamoni is a healing diary. It traces Talya’s journey of growing up and relearning herself and the world around her. Personal, exposed, courageous, and touching the deepest layers of womanhood.
The songs erupted from within her, one every few years—revelations and insights born out of profound inner processes. Intimate songs that nevertheless reach toward universal themes: pain, desire, and hope.
All these musical and textual elements pass through the wild minds of Eliav and Shai Lowenstein, who co-produced and played on the album alongside her. Their long-standing collaboration once again takes flight toward new heights of emotion and originality—unrestrained and unfiltered.
Over the past decade, Talya’s artistic work has expanded far beyond the Israeli indie scene. She has established herself as an acclaimed composer and recipient of the 2024 Prime Minister’s Award, founded and conducts the pioneering Bat Galim Choir, and has helped shape the musical paths of dozens of students and young musicians in Haifa.
But one thing has never changed: she remains fiercely faithful to her own voice, continually refining and distilling her artistic statement.

Under Haifa Museum's program for community based art, Talya created a small chamber dedicated for the act of listening. Inside this ex-territorial space she brings the sounds collected by herself and her neighbors. The group she gathered explored the neighborhood Bat Galim (Haifa) through ears only, during a period of 6 weeks.
