The judges' decision: Talya Eliav is a multifaceted musician, and her works in the field of art music show a personal compositional language: in writing for voice she deals with the encounter between sound and pronunciation, and in writing for instruments she explores the sonorities of each instrument, sometimes by using extended playing techniques. The notation she uses also includes verbal instructions, a dictionary of symbols and graphic notation, and it is clear that she draws her inspiration from a
